Lowkey is free to download. You’ll create a free account the first time you open it, then a short onboarding walks you through the hotkeys.
After installing
- Sign in or create your account.
- Press Ctrl + Alt + B to show or hide the window at any time — even while a game has focus.
- Esc and ✕ hide the window rather than closing it; exit from the tray menu or with Ctrl + Alt + Shift + Q.
- Every keybind can be changed in settings.
Checking it’s hidden
Start a recording or a Discord screen-share, open Lowkey over it, and look at the preview: the space where Lowkey sits shows whatever is behind it. Do this once before you trust it live — it takes thirty seconds.
